How to make video tutorial using Cyberlink Power Director 15?
As YouTube is getting popular around the globe, people start to shoot video clips and post on YouTube to build their own Channel for sharing with others. Shooting videos with smartphones or GoPro is easy and capturing actions on PC with Bandicam is easy too. But, video post production is a bit tougher. For myself, I prefer using Cyberlink Power Director. Here is how:
- Run Cyberlink Power Director
- Click on Edit tab at the top
- Click on FILE at top-left and select Import -> Media File -> browse to location where you store video clips
- Once imported, you will see it in Media Library
- Drag your video clip to track #1 on Timeline and you will see it in Preview Panel
Adding background music to YouTube clip
- Click on FILE -> Import -> Media File and browse to location where you store audio clips
- Once imported, drag the audio clip from Media Library to audio part of the track #2 on Timeline
- If audio track and video clips do not match in length, then align the length of audio track to match the video clip
Adding LOGO to YouTube clip
- Click on FILE -> Import -> Media File and browse to location where you store logos
- Drag the logo artwork to video part of the second track on Timeline
- We align logo’s time length to match the video clip
Adding intro text to YouTube clip
- In the Preview Panel, if the logo is too big. shrink it and drag to top-left
- Click on “T” (Title Library) from tabs at left and select Titler Pro 15
- Drag Titler Pro 15 to Title track (T) and adjust the length to first 5 seconds
- Right-click on Titler Pro 15 and select Edit Title to enter title text we want. When done, click on X at top of the pop-up window
Trimming unwanted part of YouTube clip
- Click on Trim tool (scissor) above track #1 and there will pop a preview window
- Drag the triangle anchor to where you want to start and align the yellow start mark to align triangle marker. Then click on OK to exit the window
- Again, align both logo track and audio track to match the video clip
- Check Preview Panel and see if everything looks alright
- When editing is done, click on Production tab at the top
- Click on H.264 AVC file format and select MPEG-4 1920 x 1080/30p (16Mbps) for Profile name/Quality
- Below Preview Panel, click on “…” button next to Export folder to browse a location for saving file
- Click on Start at lower left to start making final output
- Go to folder where the final output is stored for playback
