File compression everyone uses everyday.
Surely any computer user has heard these names before. ZIP and RAR. I’v been using these file compression tools way back for as long as I can remember.
But, do we know the differences? And which is better?
Lets compare the two and see which best suits your needs:
First of all, its important to know that ZIP comes standard in Windows aka WinZIP for free and offers great compatibility cross platforms. Even Linux users have no problem opening a .ZIP file at all.
.RAR is most commonly used by a program called WinRAR. Legends tell the tale of a man who once bought the licence key for WinRAR. Even after it expires, its pretty much usable for free still.
